The immortelle is known for its bright
yellow flowers that look like little suns. Its name is derived from the Greek
words “helios” (sun) and “chrysos” (gold). Immortelle floral water is a
byproduct of a steam distillation process used to extract the essential oil. In
cosmetics, immortelle floral water is often used as a hair and skin tonic and
